Longest Sea Beach
Cox's Bazar is as known as miles of golden sands,towering cliffs,surfing waves,rare conch shells,delightful sea-food,colourful pagodas,buddhist temple etc.Chittagong has some fascinating beaches that you can tour. Patenga beach is about 22 km. from Chittagong and is approachable by a motorable road. Another ideal picnic spot is the Fouzdarhat sea-beach about 16 km. from Chittagong. The Shrine of Shah Amanat is a place of religious attraction, located in the heart of the town. The shrine is visited by hundreds of people everyday who pay homage to the memory of the saint. About 37 km. from Chittagong, lays an interesting place known as Sitakunda, served by a railway station of the same name.This place has many famous temples such as Chandranath Temple and the Buddhist Temple with a footprint of Lord Buddha. The Buddhists and the Hindus regard these places particularly the hilltops very sacred. Shiva-chaturdashi festival is held every year in February when thousands of pilgrims assemble for the celebrations that last about ten days. There is a salt-water spring 5 km. to the north of Sitakunda, known as Labanakhya.Chittagong has some reasonable places to stay. Motel Shaikat at Station Road is a good Motel for budget tourists. It has 2 AC suites; 13 AC Twin Rooms; 13 non-AC Twin Rooms; Shaikat Restaurant-60 seating, Tourist Information.Other hotels in town is Hotel Agrabad, Hotel Shahjahan, Hotel Miskha and Hotel Safina & Hotel Hawaii.Ina

Sundarbans is famous for mangrove forest.It si about 260 km along the Bay of Bengal from the hooghly river estuary in Bangladesh.A network of estuaries by tidal rivers and creeks intersected by numerous channels,it encloses flat,marshy islands covered with dense forest.

Khan jahan ali mosque is another most attractive world heritage site in Bangladesh.It has been declared to be one of the three world heritage sites of Bangladesh.It was built in 15th century by Hazrat Khan Jahan Ali (R) a muslim saint and general who usually held meetings in it.There is a big tank named 'Ghoradighi' behind the mosque.The majar of Khan Jahan Ali is 2 km away from the Shat Gambuj Mosque.The majar stands on a big pond where some crocodiles live.They often come to the bank.People offer them foods.

Somapura Mahavihara in Paharpur, Naogaon, Bangladesh is among the best known Buddhist viharas in the Subcontinent and is one of the most important archeological sites in the country.
It was designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1985. Evidence of the rise of Mahayana Buddhism in Bengal from the 7th century onwards, Somapura Mahavira, or the Great Monastery, was a renownedintellectual centre until the 12th century.
Its layout perfectly adapted to its religious function, this monastery-city represents a unique artistic achievement. With its simple, harmonious lines and its profusion of carved decoration, it influenced Buddhist architecture as far away as Cambodia.

Jamuna Bridge
The Jamuna Multi-Purpose Bridge over the mighty river jamuna in Bangladesh is a triumph of modern engineering and technological skills.4.8 kilometres long and 18.5 metres wide,this bridge which connects the districts of Tangail and Sirajgonj is the longest ever in Bangladesh and the eleventh largest in the whole world.The main bridge was constructed by the Hyundai Construction Co.of South Korea.About 15000 people worked for four years to build this gigantic bridge.The bridge is connected with a 15.3 km approach road on the east and another of 14.4 km on the west.It has 50 pillars and 49 spans.Each of its 121 piles has an average depth of 83 metres to guarantee its strength and durability.The total cost of this huge structure was more than seven hundred million us dollars which came jointly from the Bangladesh Government,the World Bank,the Asain Development Bank,and Japan.
